Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your SplootPrint account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (immediate)
- Open SplootPrint and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deletion begins immediately and you are signed out as soon as it completes. This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, email hello@splootprint.com from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Deleting some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove content. Inside the app you can delete individual items at any time, and the deletion is immediate and permanent:
- A portrait and the photo it came from — open the portrait in your gallery and choose Delete. This removes the generated image and the source photo you uploaded for it.
- A pet — open the pet in My Pets and choose Delete. This removes the pet's name, species, breed, and photo.
If you would rather we do it for you, email hello@splootprint.com from your account address describing what you want removed, and we will action it within 30 days.
What is permanently deleted
- Your account and login credentials
- Your profile, including display name and avatar
- Every pet you added (name, species, breed, photo)
- Every portrait you generated
- Every photo you uploaded to generate portraits
- Your subscription credit state
What is retained, and why
Two categories of record are kept in anonymized form — your identifier is removed, so they are no longer linked to you:
- Print order records — retained to comply with tax and business record-keeping obligations, for as long as those obligations require.
- Purchase event records — retained for payment audit and fraud-prevention purposes, for as long as those obligations require.
Neither retained record contains your name, email address, or shipping address after deletion.
A note on payment providers
Payments are processed by Stripe (physical prints) and by Apple or Google (in-app purchases). Those companies keep their own transaction records under their own legal obligations, and deleting your SplootPrint account does not erase records held by them.
